The Reusable Industrial Packaging Association Political Action Committee (RIPA PAC) was formed in 2011 to help ensure that the interests of the association members are clearly and regularly conveyed to members of Congress.
RIPA PAC provides information on the association’s role in improving the environment through reduced greenhouse gas emissions, less solid waste disposal, and energy savings. Industrial packaging reuse is more environmentally efficient than recycling. RIPA members collect more than 40 million packagings annually from thousands of business locations in North America. These packagings are cleaned and put back into commerce for their original purpose. Packagings that are no longer reusable are cleaned, processed, and recycled into other products or even other packagings.
