RIPA has released new historical data on drums and IBC production covering the period 2001-2019 (beginning 1997 for steel drums). The data reveal a close correlation between reconditioning and manufacturing, both showing a dip during the Great Recession in and just after 2009. Also, at times, one has had higher numbers than the other but, over time, one has slightly exceeded the other.
