Responsible Packaging Management 2023
Updated for 2023, Responsible Packaging Management is a comprehensive guide to best practices in the business of reconditioning reusable, industrial packagings. It includes a Code of Practice for each of the packaging sectors: steel drums, plastic drums, fiber drums and Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).
RIPA offers several useful publications for those involved with container reconditioning and related concerns. For instance, you can order RIPA’s comprehensive guide on industrial packaging: “Responsible Packaging Management” which details many key considerations in packaging management. Also, reconditioners can order “Rejection Stickers” for returning unacceptable “empties” and the “Proper Drum and IBC Emptying Poster” which is useful to share with customers. Also, you can order hard copies of the convenient “RIPA Membership Directory.” RIPA member companies are sent annually a set of directories for free. But it’s nice to know a couple extra copies can always be procured.
