Remanufacturing: Saving Carbon & the Environment

remanufacturingThe Galisano Institute for Sustainability, which is associated with the Rochester Institute of Technology, is a global leader in industrial remanufacturing processes.  Remanufacturers return used or worn parts to like-new condition, which is great for the environment.  Packaging reconditioners are part of this new field; they take used steel drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), replace worn parts with new or like-new parts, test the container for safety, and sell the packaging for reuse!  In this manner, packaging remanufacturers save hundreds of millions of pounds of carbon emissions every year.  Read this article from the RIT Blog to learn more about industrial remanufacturing.
