Biden Names Buttigieg Nominee for Transportation

President-Elect Joe Biden named Pete Buttigieg December 16th as his nominee for Secretary of Transportation and, thus, head of the sprawling Department of Transportation

“Although Mr. Buttigieg has almost no actual background in transportation issues, as evidenced by his Presidential run, he is bright and a quick study” says RIPA President Paul Rankin. He adds “I am sure he will appoint a solid team of advisors, as soon as he clears the Senate nomination process.”  It is likely that soon after Mr. Biden is inaugurated, his cabinet nominees will move to temporary quarters in Washington, DC where he will begin the transition process.
