RIPA’s Communications Committee has developed new tools to educate companies about potentially negative legal and environmental problems arising from sending containers with small amounts of regulated residue to scrap yards.  The program, “No More Direct-to-Scrap,” includes an animated video, a PowerPoint presentation, several technical articles and sample corporate empty residue container management policies designed to explain the issue to diverse audiences, from lawyers to plant managers.  The association is also developing a video that explains in simple terms the federal empty container rule.  Click here to see the materials. .
